About RAMS Tutoring Program
RAMS Tutoring program has been developed by Ronda Levra with the help of community supporters. She is a concerned community member, parent and educator in the Holt Public School District. Before spending four years as a para educator in the Holt District, she was the Special Programs Director in a housing complex where she facilitated a successful after school tutoring program. Her goal is to offer free tutoring service to qualifying 1st through 4th grade students in the Holt School District. At the end of the 2016-2017 school year, Ronda Levra stepped down from her position as a para educator to provide free tutoring to Holt district students who desperately need academic assistance. Most students simply need someone that can help them practice the skills they are learning in the classroom. She feels offering a free tutoring program to the qualifying students in the Holt School District who cannot afford the big name tutoring chains is a start to helping develop academic excellence across the district. For $500.00 per student RAMS Tutoring Programs can provide tutoring for the entire academic school year, which will include classroom supplies, educational materials, and snacks. Tutoring will be held at Holt Christian Church Monday - Thursday. The tutors will be provided by Holt Jr National Honor Society and Holt High School students. The RAMS Tutoring Program would not be possible without the support of the community, MISSION: RAMS Tutoring Programs' mission is to empower
our participants to become the best students they can be by building academic and social confidence. |
